Wendy Ann Rodger - (Claxton)

Glen Monarch Stud

Testimonial from Wayne Ryan

Having known and taught with Wendy Roger- Claxton for over 25 years, I can attest to her passion, zeal, and professionalism.

I first met Wendy whilst involved in professional standards moderating. I was immediately impressed by her knowledge, enthusiasm, and her innovative approach to teaching.

Very much child-focused, Wendy manages to inspire and motivate her students whether it be in terms of their output or their creative approaches. She has the ability to make her students want to learn and be curious. She was always willing to adopt new approaches as well as adapt traditional ways in order to optimise her students learning.

Eventually, as is the way within the Education Department, Wendy managed to make her way to be part of my team at Ipswich High School where she readily fitted in. I was aware of her abilities from my previous encounters with Wendy and she quickly asserted her knowledge, style of teaching, and enthusiasm. Her classes were always a hive of activity and creativity as she could draw upon her vast experience from teaching in many schools across many states.

I part remember during staff meetings Wendy was always offering ideas and thoughts on a variety of topics. I think her educational background where she excelled in gaining a Masters of Education enabled her to think outside the box in approaching problems. Be it content delivery or curriculum development, Wendy always had strong valid opinions which kept me as a head of department on my toes knowing I had a strong professional team backing me.

Wendy is an excellent teacher. She’s a highly intelligent person, full of vigour and zest for teaching … an absolute privilege to have her as a valued member of our teaching community.
